You can get it for your Apple, Android and Windows device. Well, simply put, Minecraft PE is just a lighter version of the game that runs on your phone or tablet. (I could be wrong, I didn’t play in 2009.) Like big brother Minecraft, Pocket Edition is a game you buy once and get all the upgrades for free as they are developed. This version was simpler–I’m guessing similar to the original version released in 2009. There’s no Minecraft 2, Minecraft 3…just Minecraft.īy 2011 the game was pretty dang popular and they released a version called Minecraft Pocket Edition for mobile. You buy a license to play the game once and whenever they update the game it’s FREE. Unlike other games, Minecraft has always been a work in progress. He didn’t think it would go far…but you know the story. It was a simple little PC game created by a guy called Notch and his company Mojang.
